PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner in which a capacity degradation of the air conditioner caused by a reduction of amount of refrigerant circulation is restricted while uncomfortable feeling for a user caused by occurrence of refrigerant flowing sound from an indoor unit stopped in operation.SOLUTION: A multiple type air conditioner of this invention comprises a lacked refrigerant discrimination part 110 for determining whether or not a refrigerant circulation amount is lack; an indoor environment detecting part 38a for detecting whether or not a user present in an indoor space having an indoor unit 3 installed therein feels uncomfortable about refrigerant flowing sound generated by the indoor heat exchanger 31; a priority order determining part 120 for determining a priority order for controlling an expansion valve 27 of the indoor unit 3 kept unoperated on the basis of information taken from the indoor environment detecting part 38a; and an expansion valve control means 130 for controlling a degree of opening of the expansion valve 27 corresponding to the indoor unit 3 kept unoperated in sequence in its opening direction until a refrigerant lacked state is resolved in accordance with a priority order determined by the priority order determining part 120 when the lacked refrigerant discrimination part 110 judges that an amount of refrigerant is lack. |
