A display method and apparatus for a mobile terminal are disclosed. The method includes: setting traffic display identifiers corresponding to different wireless local area network traffic conditions of the mobile terminal; and displaying a traffic display identifier corresponding to the current wireless local area network traffic condition of the mobile terminal. The present invention can truly display the current wireless local area network traffic condition of the mobile terminal in real time, thereby improving the validity and authenticity of displaying the wireless local area network traffic and facilitating the improvement of the user experience.
