A trusted service manager (TSM) server (40) may include at least one communications device (41) capable of communicating with at least one application server (31), a verification database server (32), and at least one mobile communications device (33). The TSM server (40) may further include a processor (42) coupled with the at least one communications device (41) and capable of registering the at least one application server (31) with the verification database server (32), receiving a request from the at least one application server (31) to access the memory (37) of the mobile communications device (33), cooperating with the verification database server (32) to verify the at least one application server (31) based upon the access request and based upon registering of the at least one application server (31), and writing application data from the at least one application server (31) to the memory (37) of the at least one mobile communications device (33) based upon verifying the at least one application server (31).
