The present invention provides an ice maker, wherein an ice-making drum is opened in a drum passage. The ice maker of the present invention comprises: a piping axis installed in one side of an ice-making drum whose supporting part is assembled with a frame; a drum passage installed in a center of the piping axis to be opened on both ends of the piping axis; a drum cover to close the drum passage to prevent a refrigerant from leaking and to rotate with the piping axis; a core axis assembled with the drum cover, which is a rotating part, as a fixated part; a rotation seal and a fixing seal installed in the drum passage and the core axis by being divided into seal assemblies to prevent leakage of refrigerant in between the rotation parts and the fixing parts; a space installed in a center of the core axis to place the refrigerant pipe into the ice-making drum; and a driving volume calculator for an infrared light sterilizing unit, the ice-making drum, an ice-making water pump, and a refrigerant compressor. The ice maker of the present invention allows a user to open the ice-making drum from the outside to replace a part of the ice-making rum or repair a defective part; sterilizes the ice-making water through control of the ice-making control unit; and uses the driving volume calculator to control the ice maker. |
