PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal that makes power saving compatible with user convenience.SOLUTION: The communication terminal in one embodiment of the present invention includes: a communication device for communicating with a network; a connection processing part for setting a connection with a first communication terminal on the network via the communication device; a communication management part; and a device power supply management part for controlling power supply to the communication device. The communication management part detects start of a session and end of the session by an application on the connection. When the start of the session is detected, the device power supply management part sets the communication device to a transmission and reception enabled first power supply state. When the end of the session is detected, the device power supply management part sets the communication device to at least either a transmission disabled or reception disabled second power supply state. Even when the end of the session is detected and the communication device is set to the second power supply state, the setting of the connection having been utilized in the session is maintained. |
