PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump assembly which is extremely inexpensive, lightweight, quiet, and compact compared to a conventional pump.SOLUTION: One embodiment of the invention provides a pump assembly and an assembly method of the pump assembly. The pump assembly includes: a stator assembly; a lower pump housing; an upper pump housing; a rotor assembly; and a separation cup. The method includes the steps of: coupling the stator assembly to the lower pump housing; overmolding an overmold material on the stator assembly and the lower pump housing; disposing the separation cup on the overmold; and disposing the rotor assembly at the inner side of the separation cup. The method further includes the steps: disposing the upper pump housing on the rotor assembly; and coupling the upper pump housing to the lower pump housing. |
