<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying device with superior maintenance property while reducing the number of components. <P>SOLUTION: The image reading device is formed with a sheet conveying path between a lower unit 51 and an upper unit 52, the lower unit 51 retains an intermediate unit 53, and a U-turn path that is a bent sheet conveying path continued from the sheet conveying path is formed between the intermediate unit 53 and the upper unit 52. The upper unit 52 includes an upper rotary hinge shaft 54 that crosses orthogonally to a sheet conveying direction of the U-turn path and is parallel to the sheet conveying surface of the U-turn path. The upper rotary hinge shaft 54 is clamped by the lower unit 51 and the intermediate unit 53 such that the upper unit 52 can rotationally turns, with the upper rotary hinge shaft 54 defined as the rotation center. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
