PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a proper route search for a departure spot, a passing spot, and a destination spot which are away from network data.SOLUTION: A navigation device performs a route search using network data in which roads are represented by links and nodes. When a feature H2 indicated as a destination spot is located at a point away from a link L2 in the network, a point which it crosses the network after following any of the roads from the feature is set as an arrival point GH, and the route search is performed with setting the arrival point GH as an end point. The arrival point can be searched using polygon data for drawing the roads. When the arrival point is available in more than one, the most suitable arrival point is selected based on a cost from a start point to the arrival point and a cost from the arrival point to the destination spot or the like. The suitable route which does not require useless detour or the like can be searched by performing the route search in which the arrival point is set as the end point. |
