This coating agent composition is characterized by including: a copolymer (A) having repeating units derived from an ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable monomer (a) having a single ethylenic double bond and an alkylene glycol residue, repeating units derived from an ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable monomer (b) having a single ethylenic double bond and a functional group for immobilizing a biologically active substance, and repeating units derived from an ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable monomer (c) having a single ethylenic double bond and a functional group capable of crosslinking; and a copolymer (B) having repeating units derived from the monomer (a) and repeating units derived from the monomer (b), and having a reactive functional group at the terminus on at least one side of the copolymer; and is used for coating the surface of a solid-phase substrate.
