A method for determining production of an optimal petroleum product according to the present invention comprises the following steps: (A) setting at least one storing tank of at least one oil tanker to be arrived in a loading and unloading area within a schedule management target period as at least one virtual storing tank, and determining an ideal crude combining process for producing a petroleum product having at least one particular condition by referring to information about crude stored in the virtual storing tank and actual storing tanks; (B) determining loading and unloading of crude in the storing tank of the oil tanker, and determining loading and unloading-based crude combining processes for producing a petroleum product having one or more particular conditions by referring to information related to the loaded or unloaded crude; (C) determining an optimal crude combining process from the loading and unloading-based crude combining processes; and (D) producing an optimal petroleum product having the particular condition by controlling at least one of loading and unloading, combining, and feeding of crude based on the optimal crude combining process determined in the step (C). Production processes can be optimized, and production costs are minimized, so the optimal petroleum product can be determined to be produced. An overall schedule of an oil refinery can be optimally managed, such as determination of a kind and quantity of crude to be imported, inventory management of crude, and product production plans depending on demand. |
