<p>The present invention concerns a powder composition containing a hydroxide-containing compound, a starch, a silica material, a liquid fatty substance,an acrylic polymer,a wax, a chelant compound, and optionally a carbonate compound. When the powder composition is mixed with an aqueous composition, a ready to use composition for relaxing or straightening hair is formed. The present invention further concerns a method for straightening hair using such a composition, as well as a kit containing the powder composition in a first compartment and an aqueous composition in a second compartment.</p> |
