1. An apparatus for electrical coupling to a plurality of implantable electrodes, the apparatus comprising:
an electrostimulation energy delivery circuit configured to issue electrostimulations to the plurality of electrodes; an evoked response (ER) sensing circuit configured to sense an ER signal using the plurality of electrodes; and a controller circuit to configure a stimulation vector that includes a first vector electrode and a plurality of other electrodes as a second combined vector electrode, wherein the controller circuit is configured to: adjust the electrostimulation energy to deliver anodal stimulation using the first vector electrode or the combined vector electrode; and detect anodal capture at the first vector electrode or the combined vector electrode by monitoring a characteristic of the sensed ER signal.
