<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine for a compact portable working machine by suppressing the enlargement of a starter motor. <P>SOLUTION: The engine 1 for the portable working machine discharges a spark plug 8 by an ignition device 33 comprising an ignition coil 7 and a magneto rotor 5 to burn air-fuel mixture in a cylinder bore 11. The engine 1 includes: the magneto rotor 5 connected to a crankshaft 4 having permanent magnets 17 annularly arranged in a circumferential direction; a flat stator 20 having a plurality of drive coils 19 annularly arranged in a circumferential direction so as to be disposed opposite the permanent magnets 17 in an axis 18 direction of the crankshaft 4; a battery 22; a rotation speed detection unit 26 detecting a rotation speed of the engine 1; and a control circuit 21 controlling energization from the battery 22 to the drive coils 19 on the basis of an output of the rotation speed detection unit 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
