The adapter (1) has an output portion (6) for connecting an LED lamp (4) to incandescent consumption simulation circuit (11) with a fixed resistor and to pipe (7). A current detection circuit detects the current value of the current through an input (5) of the adapter portion. A main switch connected between the LED lamp and the pipe, is opened by the current detection circuit when the current value is greater than a threshold value.
