<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing device for a wheel enabling posterior installation of a cover member with respect to an outer peripheral face of one end of an outer ring member and capable of discharging intruded mud and dust even if the mud and dust intrude inside the cover member accidentally. <P>SOLUTION: The rolling bearing device for the wheel includes: an inner ring member 11; the outer ring member 20; rolling elements 30, 31 arranged between the both inner ring and outer ring members 11, 20 so as to enable rolling; a seal member 40; and the cover member 51 protecting the seal member 40. The cover member 51 includes: a fixation part 52 which is formed to have a C-shaped cylindrical shape having an opened lower part so as to enable fitting from a radial outer side of the outer peripheral face of the one end of the outer ring member 20 and is fixed to the outer peripheral face of the one end of the outer ring member 20 by a fastening tool 56; and a cover part 53 extending from the fixation part 52 to a position closer to a flange 13 of the inner ring member 11, covering at least an upper half part of a clearance between the outer peripheral face of the one end of the outer ring member 20 and the flange 13 and having an opened lower part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
