An apparatus in which a plurality of modules is connected to each other in a form of a ring, and the modules transfer packets in a predetermined direction to execute a plurality of data processing flows, wherein at least one module in the plurality of modules comprises: a storage unit configured to hold a plurality of sets of a reception identification and a transmission identification, the reception identification and the transmission identification set before starting the plurality of data processing flows; a comparison unit configured to compare an identification included in a received packet and a first reception identification held in the storage unit; a control unit configured to control extracting data from the received packet, wherein the identification included in the received packet matches with the first reception identification held in the storage unit; a processing unit configured to process the extracted data; and a transmission unit configured to determine a first transmission identification that corresponds to the first reception identification, and to transmit the packet to another module after replacing the identification included in the packet with a value of the first transmission identification, wherein each of the plurality of sets of the reception identification and the transmission identification corresponds to a different one of the data processing flows.
