PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an electronic apparatus for which authentication is required at time of use, from unauthorized access from the outside and to improve workability in installing the electronic apparatus.SOLUTION: An electronic apparatus includes: a password forced setting state management part 301 for determining whether the apparatus is in a password forced setting state; a temporary password setting part for generating and setting a temporary password when the password forced setting state management part 301 determines that the apparatus is in the password forced setting state; and a notification part 305 for notifying a predetermined contact destination for customer engineer of the temporary password that is set by the temporary password setting part 302. At time of setting in installing the electronic apparatus, if authentication using a password is required, the authentication can be performed using the temporary password that is displayed in the predetermined contact destination.
