PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video signal display method by which colors of a video image of a subject displayed on a monitor can be made substantially identical to colors in which an observer visually recognizes the subject.SOLUTION: A subject 10 is irradiated with light from a monitor 20a, the subject 10 is photographed by a camera 30, and a video signal formed from RGB signals is generated. The video signal is supplied to a monitor 20b. The monitors 20a and 20b are reference monitors. The monitor 20b displays a video image to which a plurality of R, G and B values are set on the reference monitor and holds a profile representing a correspondence between R, G and B values in capturing the video image by the camera 30 and three stimulation values of an XYZ colorimetric system. First R, G and B values in a video signal are converted into first X, Y and Z values on the basis of the profile. The first X, Y and Z values are converted into second R, G and B values corresponding to the monitor 20b and displayed on a display part. |
