PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire which is excellent in ozone resistance and low fuel consumption while considering the environment, and can prevent whitening, and to provide a pneumatic tire using the rubber composition.SOLUTION: A rubber composition for a tire contains a rubber component, carbon black, silica, and heterogeneous waxes (1), (2). The rubber component contains a rubber (1) having a polar group and having a glass transition temperature of -55°C or higher. The content of the carbon black is 1-10 pts.mass, the content of the silica is 15-150 pts.mass, and the total content of the heterogeneous waxes (1), (2) is 0.5-8 pts.mass, on the basis of 100 pts.mass of the rubber component. The wax (1) is a natural wax containing a component having a softening point of less than 40°C, and the wax (2) is a polar natural wax containing a component having a softening point of not less than 40°C. |
