1. A fluoranthene derivative represented by the following general formula (1): wherein Ar represents a group containing a fluoranthene skeleton; L1 and L2 each represent a single bond, a substituted or unsubstituted arylene group, or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroarylene group, A1 and A2 each represent a substituted or unsubstituted benzene ring having 6 to 40 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted fused aromatic hydrocarbon ring having 6 to 40 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted monocyclic aromatic heterocyclic ring having 1 to 40 carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted fused aromatic heterocyclic ring having 1 to 40 carbon atoms, with the proviso that at least one of atoms that form rings A1 and A2 is an electron-accepting nitrogen atom; L2 and A2 may form a ring when L2 is a substituted or unsubstituted arylene group, and A2 is a substituted or unsubstituted benzene ring having 6 to 40 carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted fused aromatic hydrocarbon ring having 6 to 40 carbon atoms; substituents that L1, L2, A1 and A2 optionally have are each selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, a heterocyclic group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an alkoxy group, an alkylthio group, an aryl ether group, an aryl thioether group, an aryl group, a heteroaryl group, a halogen, a cyano group, a carbonyl group, a carboxyl group, an oxycarbonyl group, a carbamoyl group and —P(═O)R1R2; R1 and R2 each represent an aryl group or a heteroaryl group; R1 and R2 may be fused to form a ring, with the proviso that when both L1 and L2 are single bonds, both A1 and A2 are not groups having two or more electron-accepting nitrogens, and when one of L1 and L2 is a single bond, the other one of L1 and L2 is not a heteroarylene group having two or more electron-accepting nitrogens; n is 1 or 2; and when n is 2, two L2-N(A1)(A2)s may be the same or different, with the proviso that a carbazolylene group is not included as a heteroarylene group, and when n is 2 and L2 is a single bond, L1 is not an acene having three or more rings. |
