摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle controller capable of accurately detecting the timing of increasing the number of revolutions of a turbine, that is, the timing of gradually increasing engagement oil pressure of frictional engagement elements and achieving both gear shift responsiveness and suppression of gear shift shock even if the actual number of revolutions of the turbine increases by, for example, downgrade or disturbance from a road surface at a time of downshifting an automatic transmission.SOLUTION: A controller of a vehicle mounting thereon an internal combustion engine and an automatic transmission that transmits rotational power output from the internal combustion engine by grip-changing a plurality of frictional engagement elements, switching power transmission passes, and shifting gears, starts gradually increasing the engagement oil pressure of the frictional engagement elements on a condition that the sign of an average change rate of a differential number of revolutions obtained by subtracting the number of revolutions of a turbine from the synchronized number of revolutions before gear shift changes from a positive sign to a negative sign in the downshifting process of the automatic transmission.</p>
