摘要 An image display apparatus includes a display screen on which pixel circuits are disposed in a matrix, each of which includes an EL element, a transistor connected to a first gate signal line, a transistor connected to a second gate signal line, and a driving transistor. A second gate signal line driving unit and a first gate signal line driving unit of a first gate driving circuit apply a control voltage to the first gate signal line and the second gate signal line, respectively. The second gate signal line driving unit of a second gate driving circuit applies a control voltage to the first gate signal line. An ON voltage, a first OFF voltage, and a second OFF voltage are sequentially applied to the first gate signal line. The ON voltage and the first OFF voltage are sequentially applied to the second gate signal line.

An image display apparatus comprising: a display screen which includes pixels arranged in a matrix, each of the pixels including a light-emitting element, a first switching transistor, a second switching transistor, and a driving transistor that supplies a current to the light-emitting element; a first gate signal line disposed for each of rows of the pixels and connected to the first switching transistor; a second gate signal line disposed for each of the rows of the pixels and connected to the second switching transistor; a source signal line disposed for each of columns of the pixels; a gate driver circuit which applies a control voltage to the first gate signal line and the second gate signal line; and a source driver circuit which supplies a video signal to the source signal line, wherein the gate driver circuit supplies a first control voltage to the first gate signal line, and supplies a second control voltage to the second gate signal line, the first control voltage being one of an ON voltage, a first OFF voltage, and a second OFF voltage, the second control voltage being one of the ON voltage and the first OFF voltage.
