A method for encoding video using depth information according to an embodiment comprises: determining a movement search scope in the entire movement search area for calculating a movement vector of a current coding unit (CU) on the basis of object information of the current CU; and determining the optimum movement vector of the current CU on the basis of movement information within the movement search scope.
