<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance resolution of a liquid crystal display device for displaying mutually different images at two observation positions. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device for displaying the two mutually different images at the two observation positions is provided with a liquid crystal panel 400, and a light source 500 provided at the positions opposite to the respective two observation positions. The liquid crystal panel 400 has a liquid crystal layer 410 for forming a liquid crystal cell 402 for displaying a pixel forming each of the two images, liquid crystal substrates 420 and 430 for sandwiching the liquid crystal layer 410, polarizers 450 and 460 for sandwiching the liquid crystal substrate 410, and an image splitter 440 for displaying the two images by shielding a part of light from the light source. The image splitter 440 is provided between the liquid crystal substrate 430 provided closer to a light source than the liquid crystal layer 410 and the polarizer 460 provided closer to the light source than the liquid crystal layer 410. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
