Disclosed is a method for the preparation of a mixed vaccine comprising an inactivated poliovirus Sabin strain, a protective antigen against Bordetella pertussis, a diphtheria toxoid and a tetanus toxoid, which involves the step of producing a poliovirus Sabin strain having a high titer. Specifically disclosed is a method for the preparation of a mixed vaccine, which comprises the step of culturing a Vero cell to be inoculated with a poliovirus Sabin strain, in the presence of about 4 to 6 g/L of a microcarrier. The method is useful for producing a mixed vaccine containing an inactivated poliovirus Sabin strain efficiently.
