PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system and a communication method capable of achieving communication with a multisensor device without increasing the number of communication commands to be used. SOLUTION: An address recognizing means 21 uses address numbers associated with individual sensor units SU1, SU2 to SUn provided in the multisensor device 1 to recognize the other communication party. A communication performing means 22 uses a communication command shared among all of the sensor units to perform communication with the other communication party (sensor unit) recognized by the address recognizing means 21.
