<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized gyro vibrating reed capable of suppressing generation of a temperature drift, by preventing an influence of out-of-plane bending mode vibration of the vibrating reed on driving vibration. <P>SOLUTION: In this gyro vibrating reed 10, a base part 12, connection arms 13, 14, two detection arms 16A, 16B, and driving arms 15A, 15B, 15C, 15D connected to each tip of the connection arms 13, 14 are formed. The gyro vibrating reed 10 is formed so that a driving vibration frequency fd and an out-of-plane bending primary mode vibration frequency fs1 satisfy either of following inequalities: fd×2.2≤fs1≤fd×2.8, and fd×3.2≤fs1≤fd×3.8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
