PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem with a conventional high frequency heating device, in which, as a heating chamber is filled with steam, a large amount of moisture condensate is generated in the heating chamber after heating, and the moisture condensate drops on a floor surface outside of the device when the amount of steam is particularly much. SOLUTION: A humidity absorbing material layer 52 absorbing the steam supplied to a heated object in the heating chamber 1 is disposed to allow the steam to be absorbed by the humidity absorbing material layer 52. Thus excess steam is absorbed and held by the humidity absorbing material layer, and the water held in the humidity absorbing material layer is heated without forcing a user to perform maintenance, thus the steam can be generated with smaller energy.
