This invention is a wireless communication medium processing apparatus which carries out communication with a wireless communication medium. The apparatus can read and write information to the wireless communication medium, and has a plurality of antennas 5, a reception signal input selector 17 and transmission signal output selector 16. The selector(s) are connected to each of the plurality of antennas 5 and select a certain antenna from the plurality of antennas connected. Between the selectors and each of the antennas is a wave detector 13. The wave detector 13 may include a rectifier or down-conversion section. The selector(s) may also select a certain antenna based upon the electric power of a signal. The apparatus may also comprise a plurality of antennas and reception compositor and a transmission divider.
