PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line characteristics evaluation apparatus capable of being inexpensively used by anyone and achieving highly accurate computation results. SOLUTION: On the basis of both information on a line structure input from the outside by a line structure input part 1 and a physical constant of a medium in the periphery of a line input from the outside by a medium dielectric constant input part 2, a line conception generation part 3 generates a simulation model through the use of a prescribed computational expression. In this case, the length of a line structure to be computed is lengthened longer than that of the input line structure. A computation part 4 computes a current distribution on the line by electric signals applied onto any point on the line through the use of the simulation model and computes line characteristics of the line on the basis of a relative dielectric constant computed on the basis of the current distribution and the dielectric constant information.
