PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a good angle resolution when estimating an arrival direction of a signal in a three-dimensional space, in order to contribute to improving the angle resolution in blind signal separation. SOLUTION: An estimating apparatus is provided with: a sensor adaptation selecting section 8 which adaptively selects three sensors in response to a signal arrival direction computed by a first-stage arrival direction estimating section 7; a frequency-classified arrival direction estimating section 9 which re-computes a frequency-classified arrival direction by using the selected three sensors; and a second-stage arrival direction estimating section 10 which computes the signal arrival direction based on the re-computed frequency-classified arrival direction.
