PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of information recorded in a recording medium. SOLUTION: In a magnetic disk device 100, a determination and processing part 120c determines whether information recorded in a magnetic disk 180 is rerecorded or not based on the number of times of recording, an error rate, and magnetic field intensity when information is recorded or reproduced for a magnetic disk 180, and when the determination and processing part 120c determines that the information is to be rerecorded, a read-write processing part 120a rerecords information of a recording area to be rerecorded.
