<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding material for a Blu-ray disc substrate or an HD DVD substrate by which an appearance defect is reduced and stable yield can be obtained and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The molding material for the Blu-ray disc substrate or the HD DVD substrate contains (A) an aromatic PC (Polycarbonate) resin manufactured by an interface method, (B) 150 to 350 ppm (ppm by mass in a base of the total amount of the molding material, the same applies to the following) 14-30C fatty acid monoglyceride, (C) 10 to 150 ppm PETS and (D) 30 to 120 ppm antioxidant. In the manufacturing method of the molding material, the component (A), (B)150 to 350 ppm 14-30C fatty acid monoglyceride, (C)10 to 150 ppm PETS, (D) 30 to 120 ppm antioxidant and (E) 500 to 1,000 ppm water having ≤1 μS/cm electric conductivity at 25°C are charged in an extruder together with the component (A) so that water content of the PC resin in the extruder is adjusted to be 500 to 1,300 ppm and melt extruding molded to manufacture a strand and the strand is cooled, and then cut and pelletized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
