Disclosed is a block copolymer which is represented by chemical formula a-b-a (i) or a-b (ii) and comprises a block a and a block b, wherein the block a is a hydrophilic polymeric segment comprising polyglycerol, and block b is an aromatic hydrophobic polymeric segment. The block copolymer is used as a wetting agent in the preparation of porous membranes from aromatic hydrophobic polymers such as polyethersulfone. |
