<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relatively early diagnose abnormality concerning one system of a plurality of systems such as a catalyst system, an ignition system, a fuel supply system mounted on a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: An abnormality diagnostic system comprises: one diagnostic means for diagnosing presence/absence of abnormality or a degree of abnormality concerning one of the plurality of systems at regular intervals or at irregular intervals; and the other diagnostic means for diagnosing presence/absence of abnormality or a degree of abnormality concerning another of the plurality of systems, having an association with the presence/absence of the abnormality or the degree of the abnormality concerning one system. In addition, an indirect diagnostic means is disposed to indirectly diagnose the presence/absence of abnormality or the degree of the abnormality concerning one system, based on the presence/absence of the abnormality or the degree of the abnormality concerning another system diagnosed as mentioned above. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
