The device (8) has a circulating conveyor belt (12), and a counter holder arranged on the belt. The holder serves for pulling a conveying object e.g. folded box. An opening (16) is provided at the counter holder to hold the object in its position at the counter holder by vacuum. A vacuum chamber (20) is fixedly arranged opposite to the conveyor belt for producing the vacuum. The counter holder is arranged perpendicular to a conveying direction (19) of the conveyor belt.
