The device has a holding apparatus (5) for holding an electrical signaling unit e.g. incandescent lamp. The apparatus holds an electronics mount that is provided for the signaling unit and for a bulb. The apparatus has a guiding device for lateral guidance of the mount which is to be installed, where the guiding device is in the form of a slot (8). The slot is designed such that the mount is plugged into the holding apparatus.
