The swab stick (20) has a stick (22) with buds (24) at both ends, of a fiber material with micro-fibers in a length of at least 7 mm and a thickness of at most1 dtex. The buds are composed of 3-50 wt.% micro-fibers and up to 97 wt.% of cotton. The fiber material has a settling duration in a watery solution of at least 3 seconds, and a water absorption of at least 23 g/g of liquid. |
