PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a pallet loading device reducing physical load on workers and shortening working hours, and to realize a pallet loading method using the device. SOLUTION: The pallet loading device comprises a temporary placement member 30, which has a slideway 30a of low friction at one end and is temporarily placed on a pallet 20, and a drive section 50 acting so that when a container box 10 is disposed at a predetermined position on the slideway 30a, the container box 10 slides on the slideway 30a and is loaded onto the pallet 20.
