<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner in which performance degradation is prevented by making the heat hardly transmitted from an optical deflector to an optical housing while preventing the occurrence of color slippage and to provide an image forming apparatus furnished with the optical scanner. <P>SOLUTION: The optical scanner 9 is provided with: light sources 13, 14, 15 and 16; a light deflector 17 having a plurality of freely turnable deflection faces which deflect the light from the light sources 13, 14, 15 and 16; an optical element which guides and images the light deflected with the light deflector 17 onto image carriers 2M, 2C, 2Y and 2Bk; and an optical housing 18 which houses the light deflector 17 and the optical element. A contact member 50 composed of a material having a thermal conductivity larger than that of the optical housing 18 is arranged being in contact with the optical deflector 17, so that the light deflector 17 is directly provided on the optical housing 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
