A vitrified bond grinding wheel comprising superabrasive grains (11) of CBN, diamond, etc. bonded to each other by vitrified bond (12), wherein pores (16) of the vitrified bond grinding wheel are impregnated with thermosetting resin (17) being liquid at ordinary temperature and capable of radical polymerization which consists of, for example, any of unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester and allyl ester resins. Thus, desorption gas, etc. would not occur at the hardening of the impregnation resin, thereby attaining an increase of grinding wheel strength.
