PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric vibrator that has stable characteristics even if applying force externally, such as installation and measurement of characteristics, and has a small amount of aging in a surface mount type piezoelectric vibrator. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric vibrator comprises a piezoelectric diaphragm consisting of a piezoelectric vibration piece in which an excitation electrode is formed, and an integral frame body via the base end of the piezoelectric vibration piece so that the piezoelectric vibration piece is surrounded; and a pair of lid bodies joined to both upper and lower surfaces of the piezoelectric diaphragm for airtightly sealing the piezoelectric vibration piece. In this case, an extraction electrode which energizes electricity from the outside to the excitation electrode, is formed at the base end and is arranged at the center of the base end, thus suppressing a change in the characteristics of the piezoelectric vibrator caused by stress generated by the junction of the pair of lid bodies to the piezoelectric vibration piece.
