PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus whereby a photographer or the like can easily grasp a photographed image having been transferred to an external recording means among photographed images stored in an internal recording means of the imaging apparatus for a removable recording medium, and also provide a recording apparatus, an image transfer method, a recording medium for recording a control program of the method, and a recording medium for recording image data in a form of an image file. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: an image optical system for forming an optical image of an object; an imaging means for receiving the optical image formed by the image optical system and converting the optical image into an electric image signal; a recording means for storing the image signal obtained by the imaging means and image files each including an identification signal; and a rewrite means for rewriting the identification signal of the image file to be transferred to an external device among image files stored in the recording means, and then the photographer or the like can easily grasp the image having been transferred.
