PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set optimal imaging conditions in accordance with an extracted main object by accurately separating the main object from an entire imaging target within an angle of view, performing optimal image processing on each object, and automatically and accurately extracting the main object. SOLUTION: An imaging means 16 images an object within an imaging area including a plurality of distance measurement areas. A light emitting means 30 irradiates the object with irradiation light. A light receiving means 16 receives reflection light from the object irradiated with the irradiation light for each distance measurement area. Based on the quantity of reflection light received by the light receiving means 16, a distance calculation means 20 calculates distance data indicating a distance to a partial object corresponding to the distance measurement area.
