PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain high-resolution performance, in distance measurement with an FM-CW frequency modulation-continuous wave radar installation and maintain and detect information on the intensity of a target. SOLUTION: After forming a usual beat signal Sbt0 added with zero-data prolonging sampling period and a half-reverse phase beat signal Sbti0 added with zero data using zero data adding circuits 40 and 42, a normal spectrum signal added with zero data Ssf0 and a half-revere phase spectrum signal added with zero data Ssfi0 are formed using Fourier transformation/amplitude calculating circuit 44 and 46 and the difference is taken with a subtractor 50. The intensity of difference signal Sub0 becomes a value close to the intensity of the beat signal Sbt and almost corresponds to the intensity of the target.
