PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new background noise reducing technique in relation to a technique for the fluorometric detection of the interaction between substances such as hybridization or the like. SOLUTION: In a method for preliminarily fixing a probe molecule (e.g., a probe nucleic acid molecule X) to the reaction region on the surface of a solid phase and detecting the interaction (hybridization) between the probe molecule and a target molecule (e.g., the probe nucleic acid molecule X and a relative target nucleic acid molecule Y) by a fluorescence signal, a solid phase surface region 12b, where a noise fluorescence causing substance (e.g., a free single stranded nucleic acid molecule X) for detecting the interaction is present, is irradiated with light with a selected predetermined wavelength to attenuate or erase the emission quantity of the fluorescence originating from the noise fluorescence causing substance.
