PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an optically active bisamidealcohol in a good efficiency. SOLUTION: This method for producing the optically active bisamidealcohol expressed by formula (3) [wherein R<SP>1</SP>is a 1-6C alkyl, H or the like; R<SP>2</SP>is a 1-6C alkyl, an aralkyl which may be substituted or the like; R<SP>3</SP>, R<SP>4</SP>are the same or different and are each H or a 1-3C alkyl; (m) is 0-2 integer; and * is an asymmetric center] is provided by performing the reaction of an optically active aminoalcohol compound expressed by formula (1) [wherein R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>and * are the same as above] with a diester compound expressed by formula (2) [wherein R<SP>3</SP>, R<SP>4</SP>and (m) are the same as above; and R<SP>5</SP>is a 1-3C alkyl] in the presence of a lithium compound.
