摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To exactly estimate the weight of a molten steel from a concn. change value of a tracer element by adding a slight amt. of a hardly oxidizing element as a tracer to the molten steel just prior to making of a component adjustment in an electric arc furnace, high frequency furnace or out-of-furnace refining furnace and actually measuring the analysis value of the tracer element before and after said addition, in the furnace thereby determining the concn. change rate of the tracer element. CONSTITUTION:The weight W0(kg) of the molten steel is estimated by using the yield alpha of the tracer element from the amt. WT(kg) of the tracer element to be added, the CT deg.(%) in the molten steel before the addition of the tracer element and the concn. CT(%) thereof after the addition. The element, the yield of which is always 100% or is already distinctly known, for example, Cu is used for the above-mentioned tracer element. The weight of the molten steel before the component adjustment and the yield, etc. of the element alloy to be added are thereby more exactly known than heretofore. The stability of quality by the improved component hit rate and the prevented weight shortage and the cost reduction by the decreased fraction defective are thus attained.</p>
