<p>PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a coordinate reader by outputting the difference between the absolute coordinates obtained when a coordinate indicator moves to the outside of a detection range from the inside of this range of a plane plate that detect the coordinates and the absolute coordinates obtained when the coordinate indicator moves to the inside of said detection range from the outside of this range respectively as the relative coordinates. CONSTITUTION:When a coordinate indicator 51 moves to the outside of a detection range from the inside of this range of a plane plate 50 for the detection of position of the indicator 51, the final absolute coordinates where the indicator 51 exists within the detection range is stored. The difference between said final absolute coordinates and the absolute coordinates obtained when the indicator 51 moves to the inside of said detection range from the outside of this range is delivered as the relative coordinates. Thus the relative coordinates always coincident with the physical coordinates of an operating surface is delivered although the indicator 51 gets out of the detection range owing to such operations for the graphic input, the menu hit, etc. In such a way, the satisfactory operability is ensured.</p> |
