PURPOSE:To enable accurate straight feeding of paper, by resiliently compressing a resilient ring under the condition where a feed roller and a pinch roller are in contact resiliently with each other thereby aligning the outer circumferential edge thereof with the contacting face of both rollers. CONSTITUTION:A feed roller 5 and a pinch roller 31 for feeding paper 3 is made of metal, an annular groove 32 is formed in the outer circumference of the feed roller 5 and a flexible resilient ring 33 is fitted in the groove 32. When the feed roller 5 and the pinch roller 31 are brought into contact resiliently with each other, the resilient ring 33 is compressed to align the outer circumferential edge thereof with the contacting face between the feed roller 5 and the pinch roller 31. Consequently, the paper 3 is held by means of the feed roller 5 and the pinch roller 31 under balanced pressure, while furthermore contacting friction can be increased through the resilient ring 33 thus enabling an accurate straight feeding of paper without causing slippage. |
